Admissions for Reception Class

Finding the right school place for your child is an important concern as a parent/carer.  All admissions are handled directly by Cornwall Council, not the school, and the admission pages at www.cornwall.gov.uk/admissions provide you with all the information you need in order to apply for a school place quickly and easily. If you would prefer to receive advice via telephone then please contact the Admissions Team on 0300 1234 101 or email schooladmissions@cornwall.gov.uk

Children enter Cherry Tree class in September regardless of their month of birth. In order to acclimatise children to their new environment we run transition sessions in the summer term. This gives children, parents and staff the chance to get to know each other and eases the transition into full time school in September.

We hold an induction evening in late June/July when we show parents around the school and we share key documents  and policies.

Currently Nanstallon School has a PAN of 15 pupils (this is the maximum number of pupils that we can accommodate in one year group). Normally we have more applications than this. In that case the  criteria noted in our admissions policy will apply.

Our admissions policy is attached below.
