Visiting Newquay Zoo

6th November 2017

On Monday 6th November, Oak Tree enjoyed a visit to Newquay Zoo to learn about the importance of Zoos.  We enjoyed a very interesting talk from Zookeeper Mark who talked about why animals become extinct including showing us fossils, photographs, an African snail and even mammoth hair!  This visit linked to the children's topic called Discovery and their learning about Charles Darwin and evolution.  Mark had a copy of one of Darwin's books. The weather was perfect!  A very enjoyable day for all!
